** Imagine the scoring totals Charlotte’s Gerald Wallace and Denver’s Carmelo Anthony would have had, if either one consistently made free throws. They combined for 75 points, yet were a combined 21-of-32 from the foul line.

** Monday’s halftime act was a double-jointed guy who kept folding himself into boxes or passing his body through an unstrung tennis racquet. Kind of a human plumber’s tool.

** Bobcats coach Sam Vincent said he’s now comfortable with Emeka Okafor and Nazr Mohammed playing together, without getting in each other’s way in the post. They need that option, defensively, to avoid stretches like the first half — when the Nuggets shot 61 percent and scored 40 of their 68 points in the lane. Read more
